Our Story

 

      Jeannie’s passion is being in the kitchen where she learned from her brother Hide Yamamoto, who is a world- renowned Chef and Global Award Recipient. Together, a brother and sister devotedly experimented and finally perfected My Organic Doggy’s recipes.

 

At age 16, Jeannie’s dog Oscar was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, and was given only 8 months to live. Instinctively, Hide and Jeannie turned to their vast knowledge of preparing macrobiotic and raw-cooked foods, which had cured Hide’s colleague and father’s illnesses. Immediately, Jeannie discarded Oscar’s conventional dog food and began cooking all of his meals from the freshest organic ingredients.

 

Remarkably, after just a few homemade meals, Oscar’s appetite returned, he began to regain his strength, his lethargy vanished, his immune system was recovering and within a year his tumor shrunk significantly.

 

Jeannie continued to feed Oscar with homemade love and within two years his tumor was gone! Oscar lived until he was 21 years old! Jeannie continued cooking for dogs and received such overwhelmingly positive feedback, she made a personal commitment to make optimum health available to all dogs!
